Cold Air in Central Plain, East Coast Storms

Cold air continues to push into the heartland. Springfield, Missouri is under a freeze watch.
From the National Weather Service in Springfield:
...FREEZING TEMPERATURES BECOMING MORE LIKELY... .AN UNSEASONABLY COLD AIRMASS WILL TRANSLATE ACROSS THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL PLAINS THIS WEEKEND. AS A CANADIAN HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM SETTLES ACROSS THE OZARKS EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...WINDS WILL BECOME LIGHT AND SKIES WILL CLEAR. TEMPERATURES WILL RESPOND BY FALLING INTO THE UPPER 20S TO NEAR 30 IN AREAS OF CENTRAL AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST MISSOURI.
