Flooding rains continue to pound Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Little Rock, Arkansas and Shreveport, Louisiana have been the hardest hit areasĀ  in recent weeks. The weather pattern continues to pit warm, moist air from the Pacific and Caribbean with cold, dry Canadian air, creating stormy conditions across the Central Plains.

Take a look at this computer model imagery. The reds, yellows, greens and purples on the image show you areas of rainfall, where the areas in red are forecast to be the hardest hit areas. It’s hard to see the state outlines on the map. But, the hardest hit areas will once again be Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee. Please pay attention to your local weather warnings for your area. You can click on the links above in this blog for the TV weather in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Little Rock and Shreveport, Louisiana. For more TV stations, click on the green tab on the bottom right hand side. It is labelled, “GET YOUR LOCAL TV FORECAST!”. Scroll down to find the state you are concerned about and then the city.

This weather pattern is finally expected to change on Thursday and Friday, when cooler, drier air will settle in over the deep South. The Central Plains, including Arkansas will start to see the rain let up tomorrow.
