A cold front is sweeping across the middle of the country. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are firing up across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and other states stretching to the Great Lakes region.

North Texas and Southeastern Oklahoma forecasters are dealing with the possibility of severe weather today. Click on the link for the latest in severe weather warnings. TV forecasters in Little Rock, Arkansas also have the latest on the developing storms. This cold front is expected to bring cooler conditions once again to portions of the Midwest, and cold air to the Great Lakes and Northeast.

In the tropics: an area of low pressure west of the Windward Islands has a low chance of development.
